In Abilene, Texas, students at Wylie High School once again proved that creativity thrives under pressure with their annual 24 Hour Musical, one of the theater department’s most exciting traditions, with this year’s musical being Grease.
Starting on Friday, May 1st, the event challenges students to produce a full musical—from auditions to final performance—in just 24 hours. Participants arrive with no prior knowledge of the show, receiving their roles, scripts, music, and choreography at the start of the process. What follows is a whirlwind of rehearsals, late-night set construction, and rapid collaboration.
