Spoiler Alert: Stranger Things Review

Stranger Things is a popular science fiction horror series created by the Duffer Brothers. Set in the 1980’s in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, the show blends elements of supernatural horror, government conspiracies, and  references to ’80s pop culture.  Volume 1 of Season 5, the newest season, was released on November 26 and included four episodes. The new season immediately started off suspenseful with a flashback scene of Vecna and Will Byers in the Upside Down. Tension only increased from there. Some major events that happen in the course of the four episodes: Max appears to be living in Vecna’s memories, Eleven’s “sister” Eight, is being held captive by the government in the Upside Down, and Will gains telekinetic powers. The last episode is left with a cliffhanger as Will lifts three Demogorgons in the air and kills them. Volume 2 is set to release on December 25 with the season finale releasing on December 31. Viewers speculate that to destroy Vecna, the characters of Will, Eleven, and Eight will need to work together to defeat the villain. Others wonder if the whole show has just been a DnD game. Whatever the outcome may be, the show has been an emotional rollercoaster of excitement and fear.
