Wylie’s Homecoming dance is coming September 23. The Homecoming dance will be held at the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel in downtown Abilene from 7:30-10:00. Students can buy tickets online for $35 or at the door for $40. Light refreshments will be served at the dance, but students wanting a meal should eat before. Those who buy tickets can bring a date from another school, but all students, even those from another school, must have a school ID to enter. Students who leave are not allowed reentry. Breathalyzer tests will be required before entry and during the dance.
Students will be showing school spirit this week with many different dress up days, already Monday has been Adam Sandler day; Tuesday is rhyme without reason day; Wednesday is Barbie day; Thursday is country vs country club day; and Friday is the day we all should wear our homecoming shirts. If you don’t have one, you can buy one in the cafeteria during lunch. Friday is also the day of early release and our pep rally. The pep rally will be different from previous years because it is being held inside. The pep rally will be over around 2:30; however, buses are running on normal schedule. Students should enjoy this week of festivities.
