The Wylie Girls End the Year in Region Final

On February 19, the girls dominated their rival, Stephenville with a score of 63-45. The crucial game began with Wylie taking the lead with five points.The Stephenville team is known to play quite aggressively, but that did not stop the Bulldogs as Mary Lovelace led with thirteen points, Abbey Hensen with eleven, and Skylar Williams with ten.

On March 23, they scraped up a win with a close game of 51-48 against Levelland. The game was quite intense as the girls were behind by seven points with only three minutes left of the game. The Lady Bulldogs pulled through and scored nine points before the game ended.

On March 24, the 2017-2018 season ended as the Lady Bulldogs were behind by only three points against Denver City. It was a close game as each team’s score was tied or ahead by a point. Unfortunately, Denver City had the upper hand with an overall score of 41-44.

Next year, Lauren Fulenwider and Julia Lovelace will be missed, but the remaining girls and Coach Richardson are excited to see what may happen in the next season. It was such an achievement that the girls made it to the Regional Finals due to their hard work.
