The Wylie Soccer team has a big season coming up this year.  Soccer has their own class period where they meet up at Hugh Sandifer Stadium every school day during 8th period. The first scrimmage of the soccer season will take place on December 9th, 2022, and will have a varsity and a JV team playing.

Anyone wanting to show up and get better physically, as well as mentally, will be welcomed by the coaches and the other players.

The athletes are very excited and hopeful for this soccer season. This is what senior Ethan Carnes thinks about this season, “The 2022-2023 soccer season is going to be a very good season for us. With lots of fresh talent coming up, I am definitely excited to see how well everyone competes and who will ultimately end up on varsity.” Coach Villeda said, “I think we have a lot of returning players. I think it’s the most complete team we’ve had since I joined Wyllie, and all the boys have been working hard during the soccer period. I feel really honored to lead this program, and I’m excited to watch the boys compete once the season gets rolling.”
