Wylie’s Winter Play Extravaganza!

McKenzie McElyea, staff writer

This year, the Wylie Theatre Department is proud to present not just two, not three, but four productions this year for the Winter Play Extravaganza! The selections for this year are as follows:

John Lennon and Me, a stage play directed by Justin Holland
Moon over Buffalo, a stage play directed by Jaclyn Rosbrugh
The Glass Menagerie, a black box production directed by Madeline Lowry
The Cover of Life, a black box production directed by Christopher Shoemake

The event will span over two weekends, with multiple showings per play. The first weekend (Jan. 20-21/23-24) will be showing The Glass Menagerie and The Cover of Life, and seating will be limited. The second weekend (Jan. 27-30) will be showing Moon over Buffalo and John Lennon and Me. Admission is $5, and will be available online (only for the black box plays) at wylietheatre.org. When you purchase a ticket, you get to see whatever two shows are performing that night, so be sure to stick around during ‘intermission’! The whole department is beyond ecstatic to present their hard work to everyone, and would be delighted if everyone came.
