Congratulations to the 2019 Bulldog Baseball team in another great season. The team won the district championship once again this season with a final record of 17-10. This year the Bulldogs returned eleven varsity letterman and added ten new faces to the team. Unfortunately, their season ended in the area round of the playoffs after two losses to El Paso Bel Air.

This year’s team consisted of six seniors, six juniors, and nine sophomores. Seniors Caleb Munton, Tyler Spears, and Kanon Doby have anchored the varsity for the past few seasons.

The Bulldogs new district consisted of Aledo, Abilene Cooper, Wichita Falls High, and Wichita Falls Rider. The team went 11-5 in district play which was good enough for the first seed in the playoffs.

The boys played Lubbock Cooper in the first round of the playoffs. The Bulldogs won in dramatic fashion walking it off in the bottom of the eighth inning.

Next year’s team will consist of several veteran players from this season. The Bulldog’s have a very bright future ahead of them and will look to make it even farther into the playoffs next season.
