At the end of last school year, beloved head principal Tommy Vaughn stepped down from his full-time position as head principal and retired to part time assistant principal for the senior class. Mr. Tim Smith took his place. Mr. Aaron Amonett moved to Wylie Junior High. In their places, Mr. Joey Ritchey and Mr. Richard Cumby were hired.

Mr. Cumby spent one year as Wylie High School’s physics teacher, and any current senior who had him could attest for our excitement over his new role. Mr. Cumby will be observing students with last names starting L-Z.

Mr. Ritchey worked for AISD for several years before finally joining us at Wylie. He will be working with students with last names starting A-K.

Long time staff member Mrs. Caren Christian will continue her role as an assistant principal. The new administration looks to bring positive change and progress in both policy and Wylie community.
