Mrs. Martin’s Securities and Investment classes have been actively competing in the year-long Austin Region Stock Market Game. Now, one of her teams has risen above the rest in this exciting virtual program.

The Stock Market Game is a national program of the Securities Industry and the Financial Markets Association that grants students and teachers alike an incredible opportunity to invest a virtual $100,000 in stocks, bonds, and mutual funds throughout a virtually engaging year-long session from September to April.

This year, one team from Mrs. Martin’s classes has placed first out of all the other competing teams. The winning team’s members are Nich Reister, Justin Calamlam, and Sidney Nguyen. The three students will each receive a $75 check for first place from the Texas Council of Economic Education accompanied with medals, awards, certificates and a plaque for our school.
