We had our New Student Reception August 28 during 6th period from 1:15-2:00pm, and we are so grateful for all the students that came! Our PAL’s, Student Council, and S2S all teamed up to put this event together.
PAL’s (Peer Assistance and Leadership) is a program for mentoring students in younger grades. Students enrolled in the course are trained to mentor other students. The program aims to create meaningful relationships and provide support to peers.
PALS students are equipped to address and help with key challenges that other students may be facing, such as academic struggles, bullying, and substance misuse. The program focuses on building leadership skills through training in areas such as communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution. The PALS program has been mentioned in school news, acknowledging student athletes who also participate in the program.
Thank you to all of the students that came, and PAL’s can’t wait to have more events with students!
