THEMES:
Monday- Dress for Your Future
Monday, we got to see a glimpse of our future doctors, nurses, welders, writers and got to take a blast to the past as everyone dressed what they wanted to be when they were older.
Tuesday- Dress as Your Teacher
Tuesday, we saw an abundance of extra staff from coaches to some of our favorite teachers.
Wednesday- Anything but a Backpack
Wednesday, instead of dragging our old backpacks around, we saw people drag around wagons, sinks, wheelchairs, bikes, wheelbarrows, to even cargo carriers through the halls as they left their bags at home for anything but a backpack day.
Thursday- Patriotic
In honor and memory of the 2,976 people who lost their lives on 9/11 after the Twin Towers were attacked that morning by a terrorist group al-Qaeda, the students and staff came to school in their red, white, and blue to show their patriotism and honor the ones that were lost on that day.
Friday- Purple and Gold
In support of the football team, and to show their school pride, the school dressed in their purple and gold for Homecoming night.
GAME:
In the first half of the game, Wylie gave a strong start yanking and kicking some Mustang tails. After the halftime show was performed by the Wylie Pure Gold Band and the 13th line of the Wylie Belles, we were announced our Homecoming Queen; through a really close to tie, Reese Harvey was crowned as Queen. Afterward, the night was then spent finishing off the Mustangs as Wylie won 70-14.
