As the Christmas spirit comes to town so does the annual Bulldog Christmas Market!
This is where our creative and hard working Agriculture, Culinary, and Entrepreneurship kids can come together at Wylie High School and sell to our community the items they worked so hard to make just for them.
We even had our great, hardworking Jazz and Choir playing for the market.
We even interviewed one of our very own great Culinary students, Nykolas Jaimes about what he sold at the Bulldog Market.
“What did you make for the Bulldog Market?”
“-I made Focaccia.”
“What is Focaccia?”
“-An Italian herbal bread, that I discovered, and I liked making it. I made it for the class and everybody liked it, so I made a bunch.”
“Do you plan on after high school going into a Culinary type field?”
“-Yeah.”
“What do you want to do Culinary wise?”
“-I’d like to be a pastry chef or study pastry arts in college and maybe one day open my own bakery.”
“Is the Focaccia hard to make?”
“-No.”
“No?”
“-No, it’s not.”
“Did you sell well at the Market?”
“-I think we did yes.”
“How much did you sell exactly?”
“-I don’t know how much we sold, but I made around 300 servings.”
“How long did that take you to make?”
“- Two days total.”
Our students worked very hard as you can see just for this one day, and you can tell as well that these aspiring, chefs, entrepreneurs, and etc. are going somewhere someday. But just like every year, this year definitely topped the last, and it’s a great way to begin the holiday season and festivities!
