Recently a donation program called the Bulldog Protection Program has started a donation drive that is striving to get many necessities that many students in the community need. So far there are many places to donate such as the lobby in the high school and many care closets on the other campuses. The donation drive started on September 26th and will end on October 11th.
The Bulldog Protection Program is a Wylie program that was brought up by a group of students and parents that recognized the community’s unmet needs at home and on campuses. Many students lack some items that are needed to thrive in and out of school. A few of the major goals of the program are setting up more care closets around the campuses, and persuading students to donate more clothes or hygiene products.
A few items that could be donated are athletic clothes, feminine hygiene products, deodorants, school supplies, and snacks. The main managers of this program are those who are in PALS, and the students councils at the high school and jr. highs. The community is needing these items, and it is up to the student body to assist their fellow students.
