The Wylie volleyball team has a great start to the season with a record of 11-9. They started out the season with 2 games against Randall and Frenship. Unfortunately, the girls came home with 2 losses and a lot to work on. The next tournament, Bev Ball, was a great comeback for the Lady Bulldogs. The first day they went 2-1, and the second day they went 3-1 coming out at 2nd in gold. The girls traveled to Granbury August 22nd through the 24th to take on many difficult teams. They ended up not placing, but learning a lot from this tournament. They ended the tournament season in Canyon with a few losses and a few wins.
Right now, the girls are in pre-season and just took home 2 wins against Clyde and Midland Christian (whom we previously lost to). September 27th is the first day of District. The Lady Bulldogs will be at home against the Cooper Cougars. Our last district game will be October 29; playoff season starts beginning of November.
If you want to come support your Lady Dawgs, September 27th is the next home game. In the meantime, football will be here against Stephenville on Friday for Homecoming. Go Dawgs!
