The Wylie volleyball varsity team has started off a great season with a record of 9-12. Starting on August 1st, they got to work as soon as possible. The girls had their first scrimmages on August 4th. Unfortunately, on August 8th, they came home from an away game with 2 losses against Randall and Frenship, but made up for it with 4 wins during the Bev Ball Abilene tournament.
The JV team has an outstanding record of 14-3. Recently, they were invited to a varsity tournament in Albany and came out on top.
The freshman A team competed in an AISD tournament at Cooper High School and ended up placing first in the gold bracket.
The freshman B team ended up getting 4th in the gold bracket. Overall, both teams had a successful weekend.

Coming up, all four teams will be traveling to Midland to take on Midland High. The next day, AISD has invited the JV team to a tournament on Friday, September 1st. September 5th the team will compete with Central and Granbury at Wylie High School and Wylie West Junior High. That will be their last game for tournament season, and then on September 8th we start district. Go Dawgs!
