A Night Under The Stars

Wylie’s 2018 prom was a success. Filled with decorations and dancing students, the enjoyment was obvious. Fairy lights strung across the ceiling symbolized stars with elegant centerpieces on the tabled completing the theme. Many awards were presented, including prom king and queen. Jack Lowry was crowned king with Julia Rhodes as queen. Promptly after their first dance, the seniors were invited to join.

Other awards include: Best dancer: Madi Thompson, Most likely to carry a calculator: Josh Kerney, Most likely to be president: Avery Beard, Teacher’s pet: Kyle Roberts, Most likely to succeed: Shruti Patel, Best dressed and Best hair: Reagan Chaka, Most athletic: Gatlin Martin and Tatum Willingham, and Class clown: Lane Ross.

The DJ played an assortment of music to fit everyone’s taste, and the food consisted of an arrangement of popcorn, Chex mix, a chocolate fountain with marshmallows and strawberries, as well as bite size samples of brownies. Many compliments were given about the food.

Overall, the night was full of laughter and dancing. On behalf of the seniors, we extend a tremendous thank you to the junior class for making a night under the stars a night to remember.
