Soccer Season

Soccer Season is underway! It’s been a long wait, but soccer is here, and it’s going to get started fast.
Boys’ soccer recently just had their first scrimmage. Before that, they had an intramural scrimmage where they drafted players to play against each other. They then went on to play Southwest; both JV and varsity teams played a great game but came up short.
The first upcoming game is against San Angelo Central. JV plays at 5:00 and varsity at 7:00 in San Angelo on December 30. The boys’ team seems primed to make the playoffs with a great team. They play a total of 23 games this year ending off the season with a great matchup against Lubbock Cooper.
These games need people in the stands. Show up and be loud for your teams. These games are going to be fast and exciting, and the team needs fans in the stands coming and showing their school spirit.
Soccer also has a couple of tournaments this season. Tournaments are always fun for players and people watching the game. JV has a tournament in San Angelo.
The Varsity will also play in the Kurt McGrath Memorial Tournament. Tournaments are filled with fast paced, high intensity matches that will be a blast to watch.
Soccer season is great entertainment for players and fans. It has taken a while to get here, but now that it’s here games are going to get underway.
