Wylie’s second show of the year was a smash! Dearly Departed by David Bottrell and Jessie Jones tells the story a southern baptist family that has lost the patriarch of their family and the way they come together to cope with that.

     The wife of the late Bud Turpin, Raynel Turpin, was played by Mattie Smith. She did an amazing job with this kooky comedy. The last scene when Raynel says goodbye to Bud is a truly beautiful moment.

    Of course all of this could not be done without the amazing direction of Mrs. Rosbrugh. Even though this show was put on in a month, it looked very put together!

      All in all, Dearly Departed was amazing. The show had so much heart, and audiences had fun watching. We look forward to many other Wylie shows.
